What is de L’oeil Photography?

de L’oeil, pronounced (del O wheel) means From the Eye. It is also my original family name that was changed to DeLisle around 1900.

“I am not interested in shooting new things I am interested to see things new.” - Ernest Haas

“There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.” - Ansel Adams

I chose to go with de L’oeil for the name of my business for a couple reasons. The lesser is that it’s a way to get back to my family roots. The greater reason is all about photography. Every photographer sees differently.

This is one reason that choosing a photographer who sees photos in a way you want your special event to be remembered is so important.

Andy is often seen peeking out from behind his camera, after tracking down a moment that begged him to capture it. He has spent several years working as a photojournalist, at a daily, several weekly papers, freelancing and working on independent projects. He’s won national and regional awards and has created hundreds of thousands of photos, and found that the ones that stand out all have something in common: a moment has been captured in a way that makes it compelling and emotional.

He puts his ideas about photos to work to set the mood of the scene, to be interpreted by his audience… awkward, intimate, stoic, complicated, victorious, tragic, comical – you get the idea. Andy is full of ideas and the world is full of stories to be told.

Andy is prepared to bring his camera and his ideas to work for you.
