Sunday I went on a photo safari to Vulture City Gold Mine with Brad and Heidi. It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day in front of the computer. So I jump at the opportunity to break my routine and take photos for the fun of it. It was a fun trip with good friends.

Over the summer, my good friend Megan gave birth to her first child, Finn. Another photographer friend Jill, went to document the home birth. I got the chance to hang out with Megan and Bryan right before and the whole family shortly after. I hoping all this exposure to Finn will help me get over my fear of babies.

I had the pleasure of assisting Megan for David and Taryn’s wedding. They are a very fun couple and it was great working with Megan on the wedding. I brought my Holga and shot a couple of rolls of film after the ceremony.
I’ve known Megan for about a year and half. When I first met her, I felt like we had been best friends for years. I’ve heard others say the same things. Several months ago she invited several of us out to dinner. On the way we stopped at The Farm at South Mountain to take some baby belly portraits with Bryan. Now Megan’s in her last couple weeks and is finishing getting things prepared for the arrival of her little peanut.

Bryan and Megan are a great couple and I’m very fortunate to have them in my life.
